The Hilliard's Christmas Session | Northern VA Family Photographer

I love happy accidents!  This session was originally going to take place at a nature sanctuary, but because of drizzly, dreary weather we decided to move locations at the very last minute.  Typically, I wait for better weather, but this sweet family had been waiting FOREVER for their session with me and kept having to reschedule due to unforeseen events.  The session challenged me as a photographer because of the lack of sunshine and the mixed lighting of our location, but I'm always up for a challenge ;-)  I think this location wound up suiting their style better in the end.  Isn't it funny how things work out that way?  Oh, and this family is at the top of my list for best-dressed session this year.  My clients always look AMAZING!  I wanted to run out and buy everything they had on after we were done!
